Amanek Hotel Asahikawa
About this stay
Amanek's advantage is vertical: upper-floor rooms look out toward the mountain ridgeline that frames Asahikawa on clear days, a view most of the flatter downtown hotels cannot offer. The bathhouse downstairs is a straightforward public bath rather than a full rotenburo, but it does the job after a day of sightseeing in a city where winter temperatures drop hard. Two minutes from Asahikawa Ekimae puts the station, tram stops and Heiwa dori's shops within easy reach. Rooms themselves are understated, built for sleeping and taking in the view rather than lounging, and breakfast is included for an early start. Accessible rooms are part of the inventory, and the hotel sits close enough to the tram network that a mountain-view stay never comes at the cost of central access.
