About this stay
The hot spring bath and sauna are the reason to stop here, a genuine soak rather than a private tub tucked into a standard room. Reception runs in Japanese, so it suits travellers who have at least basic phrases ready or come with a Japanese-speaking companion. Free on-site parking takes the place of a station transfer, useful since Lake Yamanaka itself is about 6 kilometres away, a short drive rather than a walk. Breakfast is Asian-style, a practical start before a day out at Fuji-Q Highland, roughly 18 kilometres away, or Lake Kawaguchi at about 21. Oshinohakkai is around 12 kilometres and the Mount Kachi Kachi Ropeway about 20, both realistic day-trip distances with a car, while Mount Fuji itself sits roughly 33 kilometres out.
