Same Shioiricho 2-7 block as its sister unit, a few steps from the Keikyu Shioiri Station exit and roughly six minutes on foot from JR Yokosuka Station, with Tokyo Haneda Airport about forty-five kilometres away, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine fifteen and Sankeien twenty-seven. The difference here is that the rooms are non-smoking, which is the deciding detail for a good number of travellers. The room is air-conditioned with a private bathroom carrying a bath, a shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries, and a living area with a work desk. There is no communal bath. A microwave and a refrigerator handle food, wireless internet and a television handle the evening, and the building provides a lift, ironing facilities, parking and a snack vending machine. The harbour promenade and Verny Park are a short walk away, with Dobuita Street a couple of blocks inland.

Our take
The non-smoking version of the same proposition: a functional room at the Keikyu gate with a desk, a microwave and a bath, suited to a working stay of two or three nights. Choose this over its sister unit if smoke in a room bothers you at all. It is the wrong booking for a leisure trip built around bathing or dining, since there is no restaurant, no lounge and no communal bath anywhere in the building.

- Keep dinner simple with the in-room microwave and refrigerator on a late arrival from Shinagawa.
