Our take
An 8.5 score from more than 3,100 reviews shows Hotel Oriental Express Tokyo Kamata getting the essentials right. This three-star hotel in Ota Ward offers air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, a buffet or American breakfast and 24-hour assistance, with private parking available for a fee. The description gives few further details, so I'd book it as a practical base in southern Tokyo, especially around a flight from Haneda.
- Consider the buffet breakfast for a convenient and varied start to your day.
- Take advantage of the 24-hour staff assistance for local tips and directions.
- Explore the nearby Omori Hachiman and Uramori Inari Shrines for a cultural experience.

Why guests love itHotel Oriental Express Tokyo Kamata is a three-star hotel in Ota Ward, the same ward as Haneda Airport, which I see as its main appeal for families flying in or out of Tokyo. Rooms are air-conditioned with private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is served as a buffet or an American set, the on-site restaurant helps on evenings when no one wants to go far, staff are on hand around the clock, and paid private parking suits those with a rental car.
