Our take
ITOSHI Kyoto Inn pairs a central location with small comforts that matter. It sits near Nijo Castle and the Kyoto International Manga Museum, rooms are air-conditioned with private bathrooms, tea and coffee makers and free WiFi, and guests share a lounge, laundry facilities and luggage storage. It is a three-star inn, not a full-service hotel. I would choose it for a sightseeing stay in Kyoto, and the 9.3 rating from 83 guests is a strong signal.

- Walk to Nijo Castle in just 15 minutes to experience one of Kyoto's most iconic historical sites.
- Explore the surrounding city center on foot to discover local eateries and shops easily.
