Our take
I would pick Sotetsu Fresa Inn Chiba Kashiwa for a stay where the train does the work. JR Kashiwa Station is a 4-minute walk, rooms have a bathtub and a fridge, and the coin launderette helps on a longer trip. Dark wood furnishings give it more style than a typical station hotel. There is little else on site, so I would book it for the location and the 8.4 rating.
- Take advantage of the coin launderette for longer stays, it's a practical amenity.
- Explore the area around Kashiwa Station for local dining and shopping options.
- Consider an in-room massage after a day of travel or sightseeing for ultimate relaxation.
