Our take
Hotel Concorde Hamamatsu scores 8.2 from 594 reviews, and I would book it mainly for its position a minute's walk from Hamamatsu Castle. Free parking, a coin launderette, in-room massage and a hair salon add practical value, and the rooms keep to calm, natural colours. I would choose it for drivers and for travellers who want a quieter base by the castle park. Those who need to be right beside Hamamatsu Station for the Shinkansen may prefer a station hotel.
- Take advantage of the hotel's proximity to Hamamatsu Castle for an early morning visit.
- Use the coin launderette for longer stays to keep your packing light.
- Explore the surrounding area on foot to discover local restaurants and shops.
