Arise Hakuba Lodge

Nagano, Nagano
Ski-in/Ski-out
7 min walk to Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area

About this stay

Getting here means a train to Nagano Station followed by a bus into the mountains, and the payoff is a seven-minute walk from Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area, close enough to ski boots straight from the lodge door in season. Rooms are family-sized with private baths, bidets and showers, Western-bed and no tatami, built for a group unloading gear rather than settling into a ryokan ritual. The garden gives the property a lodge feel rather than a hotel one, and free private parking matters here since public transport thins out this far into the valley. Hakuba Cortina Ski Area is six kilometres off, Happo-One eight, and Hakuba Goryu thirteen, all within reach for a multi-resort ski trip based from one room. Togakushi Shrine, a mountain pilgrimage site with a cedar-lined approach, sits 47 km away for a non-ski day.
