Nishitetsu Inn Kochi Harimayabashi
About this stay
Sitting roughly between Kōchi Station and the castle, this Nishitetsu Inn branch splits the difference at a 10-minute walk from one and a 15-minute walk from the other, useful for a stay that mixes a train arrival with a day of sightseeing on foot. Rooms are strictly Western, with beds rather than tatami, and add an air purifier and humidifier, a small but real comfort during Kochi's humid summer months. The coin-launderette matters on a longer Shikoku trip, and massage service gives a way to decompress after a day covering Harimayabashi and the castle grounds on foot. That in-between position, neither the closest to the station nor deep in the hills, is a deliberate trade worth weighing against the tighter near-station cluster if walking distance matters more than the castle view.
